The wait is almost over as the 10th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 is just around the corner with teams fighting it out for the coveted title. Regarding the Shaheen Afridi led Lahore Qalandars, the two-time PSL champions had a shocker of a season in 2024 and finished at the last spot, with just a solitary win to their name.

However, this season they have added fresh faces and will look to capture their third title. Ahead of the season, we look at their SWOT analysis and do the Qalandars have what it takes to win the title.

No real spin threat

• The team only has one quality spinner in Rishad Hossain, and even he is raw at the moment. The other spinners in Momin Qamar, have not played too many T20 matches and this is where the opposition batters can take advantage of the situation.

To redeem themselves after last season's horror show

• Last season, the Qalandars shockingly finished at the last spot and this was a shocker for everyone. However, the upcoming season provides them with an opportunity to redeem themselves and win their third PSL title.

Chance for Shaheen to show his captaincy skills

• Shaheen Afridi has been a PSL superstar and previously won the PSL title with the team. However, last season, his captaincy failed and even at the international level, his captaincy was taken away after a poor away series. However, this season, if he can once again lead the side to a title, the Pakistan bowler would have redeemed himself.
