Tanush Kotian

Why Will RR Target Tanush Kotian In IPL 2025 Mega Auction?

The Mumbai all-rounder has grown in stature in the last few years and has delivered consistently both with the bat and ball. He is a bowling all-rounder, but in recent times, he has scored runs in tough conditions and that makes him a genuine all-rounder who can provide great utility in a T20 game.

In IPL 2024, Kotian was with RR and the management backed him to open the innings in one game he played. It shows that they have confidence in his batting and he is a reliable bowler as well, making him a good prospect for RR at a base price of just 30 Lakhs. He has an economy rate of just 6.07 in T20s and familiarity with RR management might also go in his favour.

Why Will RR Target Naman Dhir In IPL 2025 Mega Auction?

Naman Dhir is also one of the bright prospects coming into the auction for IPL 2025. He played seven matches for Mumbai Indians and showcased some impressive skills, especially with the bat. The MI management backed him to bat at 3 in many games and he did play some handy cameos. In the last game of the season though, he smashed unbeaten 62 coming lower down the order and RR could well use him at that position with top order batters already retained.

Dhir is also a handy seamer and his addition to the squad can add depth and more balance. He has age on his side and has lot of potential, making him a good long term option.

Mayank Markande

The leggie played one T20I for India in 2019 and has now qualified to play as an uncapped player due to the new rules. RR have released their star spin-duo of Ashwin and Chahal and now would be look-out for a quality Indian spinner. Buying Chahal could be difficult as he could go at a high price, so Mayank Markande could be a good like-for-like replacement.

Markande has the experience of performing in the IPL as well and has shown some good skills on flat decks. Markande has also played for RR in the past and with an overall average of just 24.37 with the ball in T20s, he could be one of the targets of Sanju Samson-led franchise in the upcoming mega auction.
