We have seen some brilliant performances from players of both sides in the series. But here we take a look at the top five performers in the series.

5. Mitchell Santner - 3 Matches, 2 Wickets and 118 Runs

There was a lot of talk around Michael Bracewell throughout the series. But Bracewell's performances overshadowed the contribution made by Mitchell Santner in the series.

Santner picked up two wickets and scored 118 runs in the series from three matches. His all-round presence and the valuable contributions that he made for the team makes him the fifth best performer of the ODI series.

4. Mohammed Siraj - 2 Matches, 5 Wickets

Mohammed Siraj was outstanding with the ball in this series just like he has been for the past one and a half-year for team India. He played in just two matches and picked up five wickets in them.

His average in the series was 11.20 and economy was 3.50. The numbers speak for themselves and prove how outstanding he has been with the ball in the tournament. Siraj was undoubtedly the best bowler in the series.

3. Rohit Sharma - 3 Matches, 186 Runs

Rohit Sharma did get India off to good starts throughout the series. He topped off his performance in the series with a century in the final ODI. His average in he series was 62.00 and strike rate was 107.51.

Michael Bracewell was the biggest positive for New Zealand in the series. In the first match he took his team to an almost impossible victory. Bracewell showed amazing calmness under pressure taking New Zealand to the doorsteps of victory from the jaws of defeat. But the Indian team held their nerve and Bracewell's amanzing century ended up in a losing cause.

Besides, playing a vital role in the lower middle-order and adding depth to the New Zealand batting, Bracewell bowled some important overs in the middle phase. Although he does not have too mamy wickets to show for himslef, but Bracewell is someone to depend on with the ball in the middle-overs of any format of the game.

1.Shubman Gill - 360 Runs in 3 Matches

The top performer in the series is unarguably Shubman Gill. Opening the innings for the Indian team, Gill was in a sublime form throughout the series. He notched up a double hundred in the first match and took India to a winning total. In the second match, Gill played the role of a steady opener while chasing a relatively low target and in the third match the India opener put the cherry on the cake with his second hundred of the series.

Gill's average of 180 and strike rate of 128.57 in the series proves that not only he has been consistent but also has been aggressive with his approach. There can be no arguing the fact Shubman Gill is the best performer in the series.
