In a match that has historic World Cup significance, Australia and South Africa will clash in the semi-finals of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata tomorrow in hopes of making it through to the final and set up a date with the winner of India-New Zealand clash. 

Both teams are equally matched, but a win over Australia in the group stages, does hand South Africa psychological advantage.

After suffering shock defeats against India and South Africa, respectively. Australia managed to pull things back into reach and notched up seven consecutive wins to qualify for the semi-finals, with major contributions from David Warner, Adam Zampa, and Glenn Maxwell.

The Proteas started off the competition with wins however a shock loss to the the Netherlands somewhat deflated their charge, but regardless, South Africa's bowling coupled with an in-form batting line-up ensured their side reached finished second in the points table.
