The Anderson-Tendulkar Test series is done and dusted, and now the caravan shifts towards the all-important Asia Cup, which is set to commence next month. India has yet to reveal its squad for the marquee event, but speculation has already begun on which players will be included.

1) Shubman Gill As per reports, the Indian selectors are divided over the selection of Shubman Gill in the Asia Cup squad. As per Telegraph, one half of the selection panel wants the Test captain in the squad, while the other half is against his inclusion, as they feel it might disrupt the team tempo. As compared to the other three openers, Gill's T20I stats is not that good. While the others strike at over 160, Gill's T20I strike rate is just 139.23.
Under Gautam Gambhir's regime, the India T20I team is looking for an attacking opening option, and Gill doesn't have the gear to go for the big shots, right from the word go.
2) Sai Sudharsan Another Test star who did extremely well in the Indian Premier League, Sai Sudharsan , also has an outside chance to make it into the Asia Cup squad, but just like Gill, his inclusion will also bring the same issue.
