The five-match Test series between England and India recently turned out to be an absolute blockbuster. Almost all games went right down to the wire, and the best of the lot was the final one, which India won by just six runs.
Mohammed Siraj was one of the heroes of the win and led from the front with nine wickets in the game. Also, Siraj was the only Indian bowler who played all five Tests and bowled a lot of overs on pretty flat wickets early in the series.

Therefore, a lot of people have applauded Mohammed Siraj's efforts. Now the legendary Pakistan pacer, Wasim Akram, has also praised Mohammed Siraj while speaking to Telecom Asia Sport.
Akram said that he tries to avoid cricket when he is not working. However, he could not stop himself from watching the final day of the Oval Test and added that it was an incredible effort from Mohammed Siraj.
"I rarely watch cricket when I am not working, but it was glued to the last day. Siraj was full of hunger and passion – it was an incredible effort", Wasim Akram told Telecom Asia Sport.
Wasim Akram Applauds Siraj's Stamina And Mental Strength
Akram also credited Mohammed Siraj for bowling with great intensity till the very end despite bowling nearly 186 overs across five Tests. Akram also made a bold comment that Siraj is not just a support bowler now and is leading the attack with heart. The former left-arm pacer also called Mohammed Siraj a fighter. He credited the Indian pacer for keeping his focus despite making a mess of a Harry Brook catch.
"To bowl nearly 186 overs across five Tests and still be that fiery on the final day shows remarkable stamina and mental strength. He's not just a support bowler anymore. He's leading the attack and doing it with heart. Even when a catch went down– that of Brook – he didn't lose focus. That's the mark of a fighter. Test cricket is alive and kicking".
Wasim Akram has also expressed his genuine happiness over the health of Test cricket. Akram also credited Gill's captaincy, and such admiration from a legend from Pakistan shows the kind of cricket a young Indian team under Shubman Gill played in England.
