As the WPL 2024 season enters its knockout stage, Royal Challengers Bangalore Women (RCB-W) will take on defending champions Mumbai Indians Women (MI-W) in the eliminator round. The winner of the contest will meet Delhi Capitals Women (DC-W) in the finals, whereas the losing side will bow out.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Women qualified for the playoffs on merit by winning against Mumbai Indians Women in the penultimate fixture of the league stages.

It was an Ellyse Perry special show as the veteran showcased her incredible all-round skills to outclass the mighty defending champions. After chipping in record six wickets, Perry hit the winning runs as her 40 runs knock helped RCB secure the chase inside 15 overs.

That being said, the two sides will once again clash for the eliminator round scheduled for tomorrow. However, despite the stakes being high, Smriti Mandhana is unlikely to mess with the winning combination.

While her recent form has been a concern, Smriti's opening partner Sophie Molineux also needs to step in. Middle order is sorted with Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghost both taking responsibilities. Shreyanka Patil has been impressive as well.

With the ball, Renuka Singh's impact with the new ball has been a key for RCB-W. While Perry and Devine have emerged as wicket-taking options for Smriti, Asha Sobhana's dip in form is a little cause for worry.

Regardless, Smriti Mandhan has a balanced squad at her helm. She has to use her bowlers smartly to deny Mumbai Indians any kind of momentum with the bat.

The captain's individual performance is crucial, and she needs to provide an excellent start at the top to ensure a smooth finish.
