India and Australia are all set to lock horns in the big semifinal of the Women's World Cup 2025. The battleground will be the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, and it promises to be a cracking encounter between two quality teams.

Australia are the World Champions and are on 15-match winning streak in the Women's ODI World Cups. They last lost a game in the semifinal against India in the 2017 World Cup, and thus, Harmanpreet Kaur and co. would have to be at their best.

Aussies also have plenty of match-winners in their arsenal who can win games for their side almost single-handedly. However, there are some players that India would especially need to be worried about and let's see some of them in this article.

Alyssa Healy

The Australian captain missed the last two league matches due to a calf injury. However, she smashed back-to-back hundreds before that, and one of them came against India in the big run-chase of 331. Also, Alyssa Healy is a player who takes the game away from the opposition when she has the willow in the hand, and can be dangerous for India again.

Healy also has the knack of stepping up in big matches, and till the time she is in the middle, India would always be under pressure to control the scoring rate. Thus, getting rid of Alyssa Healy early in the semifinal would be very important for India.

Ashleigh Gardner

Ashleigh Gardner is arguably the best all-rounder in world cricket. She can bowl at different junctures for her team and has the knack of picking big wickets. With the bat, she is a dangerous batter who delivers under pressure and can use the long handle to great effect.

In this World Cup, whenever the Australian top-order has flopped, Ashleigh Gardner has stepped up. She has hit two stunning centuries and has spoiled India's party many times in big matches. Thus, India would need to find a way to minimise Gardner's impact in the semifinal.

Ellyse Perry

Ellyse Perry has not been in great form in this World Cup, but she remains a class act. In the game against India, despite getting injured, she came back in the tense moments of the run chase and took Australia home with an unbeaten 47.

This being a knockout match, Ellyse Perry would be itching to get a big score. She has an excellent record against India, too, and is a player who can hurt India in the semifinal.

Beth Mooney

Beth Mooney is another experienced player whom India need to be wary of in the semifinal. She is also one of those players who always step up in crunch moments. Mooney smashed a century against Pakistan when they were seven down under 100, and is a player who brings reliability to the table.

She has an average of 54 against India, and so she has all the experience and skills to trouble the home team in Navi Mumbai.
