India A is geared to lock horns with Australia A for an unofficial two-match Test series. The first Test between the two is slated to take place at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in South Mackay from Thursday, October 31st onwards. This Test will occur right before Rohit Sharma's men take on the hosts in a five-match Test series later in November.

The Indian team led by Ruturaj Gaikwad would be eager to start the two-match series on a positive note. Bolstered by a strong squad, let's take a look at the predicted playing XI for this upcoming clash:

Easwaran-Sudharshan Likely To Open For India A

It is expected that Abhimanyu Easwaran and B Sai Sudharsan will likely be seen opening for India A, especially since both the players have excelled in recent domestic red-ball matches and are expected to be crucial at the top of the batting order. Moreover, Baba Indrajith has been a reliable player in domestic cricket, so we can see him easily slip into number three. His solid technique is anticipated to challenge the Australian bowlers consistently throughout the series.

Followed by which skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, who has been in great form with the bat for Maharashtra this season, is a must-play for the middle order along with Ishan Kishan, who will take on both batting and wicketkeeping duties. Devdutt Padikkal is also likely to be included in the team.

Not to forget, India's rising star, Nitish Kumar Reddy will also find a place in the playing XI. He has been in stunning form and he could further strengthen the team. The recent performance by Tanush Kotian makes him a great all-rounder, and his inclusion in the team would add strength and depth to the batting lineup, along with making a crucial contribution with his spin bowling.

When talking about the bowling lineup, Mukesh Kumar, Yash Dayal, and Navdeep Saini will likely lead the attack. These three will be challenging for Australian batters, especially on seam-friendly pitches.
