After the ongoing series against Zimbabwe, Pakistan will shift their attention towards South Africa. Notably, the Mohammad Rizwan-led side will tour the Proteas for a three-match T20Is and ODI series starting from December 10.
Firstly, the Men in Green will lock horns in a T20I series and then heading for ODIs that will conclude on December 22. At present, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has rested several star players for the Zimbabwe series to be fresh and fit for the South Africa tour.
However, most of the star players will return to the squad for the Proteas tour. This article will shed light on Pakistan's probable ODI squad for South Africa tour.
Fakhar Zaman To Return
Former skipper Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi will return, while Naseem Shah will also find a place in the squad. The most anticipated comeback would be of Fakhar Zaman, who was left out of the Australian squad by the PCB to punish him for his earlier tweet criticising the Mohsin Naqvi-led board.
Notably, Fakhar questioned Babar's ouster from the Pakistani side, and it proved to be costly as Zaman was issued a show-cause notice. However, he later apologised, and things have returned to normalcy among the board and the players.
