After playing four of their games, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) side are at the bottom of the table with just one win as they have lost three of them. Pat Cummins-led side have had a tough time on the field after winning their first encounter.
The SRH team have endured three consecutive losses in the last three games against Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Capitals, and Kolkata Knight Riders, respectively by heavy margins.
With the win in mind, they will now be looking to set their combination right for the upcoming encounter against Gujarat Titans, to be played at their home, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
SRH's Playing XI In Last Match vs KKR
Here's a look at SRH's playing XI from the last encounter against KKR where they lost the game badly in Kolkata.
Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Aniket Verma, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Kamindu Mendis, Jaydev Unadkat, Pat Cummins (c), Harshal Patel, Mohammed Shami, Zeeshan Ansari
Impact Player: Travis Head
Expected Changes In SRH's Playing XI
After posting a massive 286 on the board in their first game against Rajasthan, the SRH batting lineup has tanked in the three successive games. In the last encounter against Knight Riders, they were bowled out for a paltry 120 in just 16.1 overs, as they failed to chase 201, hence losing the game by a margin of 80 runs.
Looking at their batting form and how they have failed in the last three games, the SRH side are expected to make a few changes in their lineup to sort their batting issues as well as to manage their bowlers effectively.
Atharva Taide To Debut For SRH?
Despite having one of the most fearsome opening orders, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma have struggled in the last few games. In spite of all the panic, it is unlikely that the Pat Cummins-led side will tinker with their tried and tested opening batting combo of Travishek. Whereas, Ishan Kishan is also likely to retain his spot after a fiery century in the first game.
However, with the other batters not living up to the expectations, as well, the SRH might yet not go for any major changes with the top and middle order likely to remain the same, more or less. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Aniket Verma, along with Heinrich Klaasen, are also likely to feature in this encounter, while the all-rounder Kamindu Mendis won't lose his spot yet.
Abhinav Manohar, who has failed miserably with three poor outings, might not get another chance, while Atharva Taide and Sachin Baby are other options in the squad. Out of them, Atharva seems more likely to get a spot if and when an opportunity arises for the left-handed batter.
Can Jaydev Unadkat Find A Spot?
On the bowling front, Simarjeet Singh, after a decent opening game, has had a difficult time in the last two games, where he went for plenty of runs. Therefore, it is likely that experienced left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat might get a look-in if SRH opts to find a replacement for the right-arm seamer.
Adam Zampa To Return?
While they have mostly been troubled by the batting, this Sunrisers might just want to give another look to Australian spinner, Adam Zampa, who can be crucial in the middle phase, when the wickets are required.
Zampa's inclusion can be a major boost to SRH's bowling, who have leaked runs in the last few games. But, it is still unlikely that the leg spinner will be included, as Kamindu Mendis is probable to retain his spot with a 27-run innings and a wicket in the last match.
