There was a buzz in the air as Kamindu Mendis, the Sri Lankan all-rounder was set to feature in the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) playing XI for the IPL 2025 match Vs Kolkata Knight Riders. He was a mystery for the opposition and the hype was created due to his ambidextrous nature of bowling.

This meant that he could bowl with both hands to surprise the batter. He was drafted in the side as a mystery and with him dominating KKR, let us know his IPL 2025 price.

How much did SRH pay to buy Kamindu Mendis?

For starters, Kavya Maran, the SRH owner paid just INR 75 lakh to buy the Sri Lankan superstar. This was a steal deal as SRH had bought a gem for such a low price. Having done well for the Sri Lankan team, Mendis entered the IPL 2025 auction with little hope, but SRH showed faith in him and the Orange Army had a wonderful deal for a little price.

He started his IPL journey by dismissing Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who departed for a well-compiled 50. The all-rounder finished with figures of 4 for 1 in the only over he bowled.

With the bat, he looked well set, but became Sunil Narine's victim and departed for a 20-ball 27 as SRH struggled for runs. However, he steered the team out of a precarious situation as SRH lost three early wickets, and he somewhat resurrected the innings.
