India’s domestic season roars back to life with the Duleep Trophy 2025 and this time it’s the old-school zonal format. The curtain-raiser has North Zone locking horns with East Zone and even though Shubman Gill will miss out, there is still enough star power to make this a box-office clash.

5. Sarfaraz Khan

Sarfaraz Khan is a man on a mission. He has been scoring mountains of runs in domestic cricket but somehow keeps missing the India bus. After being snubbed for the England tour, he knows this Duleep Trophy is another chance to bang the door down.

Fresh off a century in the Buchi Babu tournament, Sarfaraz looks in good nick. If he gets going in this clash, North Zone will have a rock-solid middle order and the selectors will be left with no choice but to take notice.

Arshdeep Singh has already made a name for himself as India’s top T20I wicket-taker, but his red-ball credentials are still in the proving stage. He was picked for the England Test series but didn’t get a game and a hand injury ruled him out of the fourth Test.
