3. Rajat Paitdar and Mayank Yadav - 5400% or 55 Times

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru has retained Rajat Patidar at the cost of INR 11 Cr. This means that his salary has increase by 55 times than what it previously. Notably, till IPL 2024, Rajat Patidar's value was INR 20 Lakhs. This salary hike for the young Indian batter is for the skills he displayed in the last season under pressure. Rajat Patidar was one of the main reasons RCB could stage a brilliant comeback in IPL 2024.

Mayank Yadav was unlucky to miss out on a majority of IPL 2024. However, he impressed everyone with his pace and accuracy in the little he played. The LSG management identified the talent and his ability to emerge as a match-winner, and hence, they have retained him for INR 11 Cr. Much like Patidar, Yadav's previous salary was also INR 20 Lakhs. So, Mayank Yadav, too, has received a salary hike of 5400%.

The biggest hike received during this IPL retention was by the young keeper batter, Dhruv Jurel. One might think he did not have too much impact in the last season to get a big hike. However, it seems like RR are trying to build a strong Indian core for the future and are also trying to back Jurel. This is the reason why they went ahead and gave Jurel the highest salary hike for this retention. The keeper's salary rose from INR 20 Lakhs to INR 14 Cr. This is a 7000% or 69 Times rise in the salary. The Royals will hope that Jurel delivers on the promise he has shown as an effective middle-order batter and clutch finisher.
