On Sunday, May 11, there were reports that the remainder of IPL 2025 is set to resume on May 16. The news comes a day after India and Pakistan announced a ceasefire, which led to the IPL governing body acting swiftly and looking to resume the quickly at the earliest.

Meanwhile, franchises too have started calling their players back, but uncertainty looms over the availability of overseas players, who have left for their respective nations. Now there are reports that Australian and England players are hesitant in returning to India for the completion of the league. 

Meanwhile, this article will shed light on three IPL teams who would be most affected by the non-availability of Australia and England players. 

1.RCB

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are having a great season as the Rajat Patidar-led side are placed 2nd on the table with 16 points in 11 matches. Further, several overseas stars such as Phil Salt and Josh Hazlewood have contributed immensely to the success in this season.

Talking about RCB, Hazlewood, Phil Salt, Jacob Bethell, Romario Shephard, and Tim David have been their choices of foreign stars for the ongoing season. Now if Aussie and English stars refuses to return, then the Challengers will incur a heavy blow as four of their regulars won't be available for selection. 2.Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals started the tournament on a high but lost their tempo in the middle of the competition and are now struggling to enter the top-four. Talking about the Capitals, they are placed 5th on the table with 13 points in 11 matches. They will deal a heavy blow as Mitchell Starc is unlikely to return for the remainder of the league.

3. Gujarat Titans

Talking about Gujarat Titans, they are one of the title contenders as the Shubman Gill-led side are placed 1st on the table with 16 points in 11 matches. However, it is likely that Jos Buttler, who has scored over 500 runs in this season, won't return for the remainder of the season.

It is worth noting that despite a solid season, it is their top three that sealed the wins. Now with Buttler gone, things are looking dangerous for GT as it might also expose their middle-order, which has been underscoring this season. Let's look at Buttler's stats for this season.
