The second edition of Women's U19 T20 World Cup is done and dusted, and the dominant Indian team have retaied their title by beating South African team in the final. It was quite a dominant performance from young girls from India as they did not lose a single game and clearly showed that the future of Indian cricket is in safe hands.

India Women led by Niki Prasad dominated each and every game of the competition including the final and many of them look set to make an impact in senior cricket soon. Over the years, many young women and men cricketers have advanced from stars in junior cricket to superstars at the senior level. So, let's who are the three players that can make India proud at the senior level in future.

3. Aayushi Shukla

Indian cricket has produced some quality left-arm spinners over the years, and the 17-year-old Aayushi Shukla took some big strides in joining that elite list in this Women's U19 World Cup. She picked 14 wickets in seven matches at a stunning economy rate of 3.02 and went wicketless in only one game out of the seven she played.

Her ability to bowl at different junctures of the game make her special and in the final too, she got the big wicket of Diara Ramlakan in the Powerplay. She then came in the second half of the innings to get rid of Karaba Meso and it is this ability to make impact in varied situations that make her special. 

She also had a fruitful Women's U19 Asia Cup in 2024 which included 11 wickets in five matches and is a handy batter lower down the order. All these makes her an all-round cricketer who can break into the senior side in future.

2. Vaishnavi Sharma

Born in Gwalior, Vaishnavi Sharma is another left-arm spinner who grabbed headlines in the U19 Women's World Cup 2025. She started off the tournament with a bang, picking a hat-trick in the very first game against Malaysia. She picked a fifer in that game and ended the tournament as the leading wicket-taker with 17 wickets in six innings.

In the crucial semifinal, she picked three wickets against England while in the final she ended up with two dismissals. She had an economy rate of 3.36 and it is this genuine wicket-taking ability that can help her breakthrough into the Indian senior squad in future.

1. Gongadi Trisha

The star of the tournament not only for India but overall was Gongadi Trisha. The right-handed opening batter not only displayed consistency, but scored her runs with a strike-rate of 147.14 and was class apart from other batters. She scored 309 runs in seven innings at an average of 77.25.

Gongadi Trisha scored 110 off 59 balls against Scotland Women and also picked seven wickets in four innings during the tournament with her leg break. She also delivered her magic on the big stage of final where she picked three wickets and scored unbeaten 44 from just 33 balls. She was impressive in the U19 Women's Asia Cup in 2024 where she hit two fifties, and looks ready to take a big step into senior cricket with her rare mixture of power and consistency.
