The world cricket is buzzing with quality action across formats and the stage is now set for the Champions Trophy 2025 where eight top teams would fight it out for the ultimate trophy. After lot of deliberations and debates, the schedule is out and so are the venues for the tournament and there would be plenty of quality cricketers on display looking to stamp their authority on the big stage.

It is a tournament where it is all about the countries and the pride of playing for it, but with Indian Premier League also in the limelight, it would be interesting to see how the players from different franchises go about their business for their nation. Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli is the face of Royal Challengers Bengaluru and he is the face of Indian cricket too. The legendary batter has not been in great form in recent times, but he is a world-class cricketer and we can expect him to come out all guns blazing in the ICC tournament. 

Also, his best format is the 50-over one where he has always been very consistent and has close to 14000 runs with an average of 58.18. Kohli also is known to step up in big tournaments and in the last ICC tournament of the format, he was the leading run-scorer with 765 runs in 11 innings.

So, Virat Kohli is certainly a player who knows how to come up with goods in the 50-over format and in the last edition of the tournament, Kohli hit three fifties in five matches.

Liam Livingstone

Liam Livingstone was bought by RCB in the 2025 mega auction, and one of the main reasons for it is his recent form. He has been brilliant for England in both the white-ball formats and will be one of the key player for England in the Champions Trophy. He provides the utility with both bat and ball which makes him a hot asset while his aggressive batting would be important on flat decks in Pakistan.

Also, he bowls leg-spin which will be crucial in subcontinent conditions. So, with confidence of hitting his maiden ODI century recently, and an average of 57.20 in ODIs during 2024, expect Livingstone to unleash his might in the Champions Trophy 2025.

Romario Shepherd

Romario Shepherd is another RCB buy would be one of the players to watch out in the Champions Trophy 2025. He is a genuine all-rounder who can bowl both with the new ball and at the death and his power-hitting would be crucial on flat decks in Pakistan. 

Shepherd's ODI stats are pretty average at this point in time with one fifty in 37 matches while he has 33 wickets in his belt.  However, the tall seam-bowling allrounder also has the experience of playing in subcontinent conditions in different leagues, so he could be the x-factor who can deliver in pressure situations and could make a big impact in Champions Trophy 2025.
