Champions Trophy 2025 is the next big fifty-over ICC event, which will take place in February 2025 in Pakistan. Unfortunately, India will play just three ODIs till the next mega-event.

Newly appointed head coach Gautam Gambhir has more or less shortlisted his 20-25 pool of players that will play Champions Trophy, but still a few spots are up for grabs.

Meanwhile, a few out-of-favour players have been performing well in the domestic circuit, eyeing an ODI comeback and cementing their place in the Champions Trophy 2025 squad. Here are the three players who have had great One-Day Cup.

Prithvi, who last featured for India in ODIs in 2021, is in the form of his life as he has scored 291 runs in eight games in the ongoing Royal London's One-Day Cup at an average of 42.87.

His stint with Northamptonshire has featured three fifties and a high score of 97.

2. Yuzvendra Chahal

Chahal has been with India for a long time, but is second to Kuldeep Yadav in the pecking order, which is why he is either on the bench or not in the squad. However, the leg-spinner, playing for Northamptonshire, took a five-wicket haul in his solitary game and looks in great shape.

3. Venkatesh Iyer

Iyer, who also has featured for India in ODIs, was once touted as Hardik Pandya's successor. However, his dipping form resulted in his ouster from the team. In the latest events, Iyer, playing for Lancashire, has scored 68 runs and taken 3 wickets, including two wickets in the last over to win the game for his side.
