'You Were Bowled By Virat'- Michael Vaughan Trolls Hafeez For Criticising Kohli

Former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Hafeez has been in the headlines ever since criticising Virat Kohli for his World Cup knocks. Hafeez, once a vital cog in Pakistan's white-ball setup, launched a series of scathing attacks on Kohli, alleging him of selfish play on multiple occasions. 

Meanwhile, former England captain Michael Vaughan has come forward in Kohli's defence. Vaughan, who recently praised Kohli for thriving under critical match situations, even went on to troll Hafeez for his remarks. 

Taking to his official account on X (formerly Twitter), Vaughan questioned Hafeez if he had personal grudge on Kohli as the latter bowled him in a T20 World Cup match between India and Pakistan back in 2012. 

The Englishman's cheeky post with a picture showing Kohli celebrating Hafeez's dismissal caused laughter among the Indian fans. 

The post read, 

"Seems to me @MHafeez22 you were bowled by @imVkohli!!! Is this the reason you constantly have a pop at him .. 😜😜 #CWC2023 #India #Pakistan."

Regarding Kohli, the talismanic Indian batter has enjoyed stellar success in the World Cup, amassing 543 runs, including two hundreds, at an astonishing average of 108.60 and a strike rate of 88.29. He will next be in action during India's final league-stage game against the Netherlands on the 12th in Bengaluru.
