'Without Jadeja There Is No Ashwin' - Legendary Offie On Partnership With His Partner-In-Crime

In cricket, partnerships matter a lot and could be between batters or bowlers, which helps the team notch wins. As an old saying goes, "bowlers hunt in pairs". 

India's most lethal bowling duo in Tests has been spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, who have spun a web around opponents in home conditions.

While playing together for India, Ashwin and Jadeja have claimed 500 Test wickets between each other, with the off-spinner picking up 274 and the left-arm spinner clinching 226 in just 49 red-ball games together. 

Ashwin, who has often praised Jadeja for his tight bowling, speaking to Sportstar highlighted the difference between his and Jadeja's bowling while maintaining how crucial both are to each other's success. 

Here's what Ashwin said

"Without Jadeja there is no Ashwin, without Ashwin, there is no Jadeja but it doesn't take away from the fact that he is extremely good at keeping it very simple and not overthinking it. I cannot put the ball the same spot or bat like how I do if I don't be curious and if I don't overthink. He cannot be who he is if he is constantly overthinking it. So this is a classic case of people plying similar trades and finding success in their own ways."

Ashwin and Jadeja have been picked in India's Test squad for the South Africa tour, where they will engage with the Proteas in two red-ball games.
