South Africa with a depleted bowling line-up took on India in the first Test of the ongoing two-match series and came out victorious by an innings and 32 runs.

One of the main reasons behind the Proteas stellar show was debutant Nandre Burger, who featured in the XI in place of the injured Lungi Ngidi

Burger, 28, rocked the Indian batting lineup in both innings, scalping over seven wickets in the Test, which included a four-for as well.

Impressed by Burger's impressive debut, Ngidi, who might replace the former in the second Test starting from Wednesday, praised the left-arm pacer's performance via a hilarious social media post.

Taking to 'Instagram', Ngidi congratulated the speedster by stating how everyone likes 'burger', which is one of the most popular food delicacies in the world, which also happens to be Nandre's surname.

Burger has been going around in the domestic circuit since 2015-16 and gained much fame in the 2017-18 edition, where the bowler finished as the leading wicket-taker in the One-Day Cup. The pacer made his international debut against India in December during the T20I series.

Good outing in the T20Is against India, led to Burger earning his maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) contract as well with Rajasthan Royals.

Meanwhile, both teams are gearing up for the second Test that commences tomorrow at Cape Town, where South Africa's stand-in skipper Dean Elgar will play his final red-ball match.
