After Pakistan's airstrike shook the grounds of Paktika province early on October 18, Sayed Naseem Sadaat, a spokesperson of the Afghanistan Cricket Board, revealed that they have solid video evidence that Pakistan was responsible for the attack.
Notably, by bombing Afghanistan late in the night of October 17, the Asian nation broke the temporary truce between the nations, which led to the killing of 10 civilians, among whom were three emerging young cricketers.
ACB spokesperson reveals Pakistan's truth
Speaking in an exclusive interview with ANI, Sayed Naseem Sadaat elaborated on the nature of the attack while claiming to have video reports of the assault. He strongly condemned the Pakistani state for its actions and urged global cricket boards to take severe action against the nation.
"We got evidence that all the cricket fraternity and all the people around the world would have definitely watched our video report on the incident that was made by our media team. So, we got clear evidence that the attack was done by a Pakistani state," Saadat said.
Sadaat further explained that cricket should not be entangled with war since the former is a medium to promote harmony and brotherhood. Saadat stressed that the entire Afghanistan cricket team supported the decision to withdraw from the upcoming Pakistan series.
"The decision taken by ACB management was welcomed by all of our national team players, including the senior players who are playing for the national team. They were all fine with the decision. They welcomed the decision," Saadat added.
Pakistan unmoved by the tragedy
The attack led to the demise of three local players named Kabeer, Sibghatullah, and Haroon. They reportedly travelled to Sharana to play a friendly cricket match, and while returning to Urgun, they faced the horror.
The cricketing fraternity, alongside Afghanistan star Rashid Khan, condemned 'the act of cowardice'. However, it left no impact on Pakistan's stance, as after Afghanistan's withdrawal, the hosts replaced them with Zimbabwe, who will be visiting Rawalpindi and Lahore on November 17 alongside Sri Lanka.
