The wait is almost over as the highly anticipated clash between arch-rivals, India and Pakistan is set to take place on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Ahead of the crucial match in the context of the tournament, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam issued a warning to the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli (top-order batters) and stated that if the Indian top-order is dismissed early, things can get easier for Pakistan.

The likes of Rohit and Kohli have always performed against the Pakistan side in the World Cups and Babar knows the importance of their wickets.

Here's what Babar said at the pre-match press conference

"The challenge is the match of Pakistan-India. You (journalists) and the fans and the whole of Pakistan-India are waiting for this match. We are also very excited. I think both sides are trying to do their best. We are trying to see how we can take the wickets of their top-order players and how we can make runs against their bowlers. What matters is that we play our best game on the day."

Interestingly, Pakistan have never beaten India in a 50-over World Cup match. The two sides have collided 7 times against each other and Team India have been victorious in all seven contests.
