'I Think Bumrah Will Get Babar Azam...,' Aakash Chopra Makes Big Claim Before Ind-Pak Game

A few hours away from the massive India-Pakistan clash in the World Cup 2023, fans and experts have started to weigh in on the big rivalry and player battles that will take place on 14th October in Ahmedabad. Meanwhile, India premium pacer Jasprit Bumrah will go into the game on the back of a fantastic performance against Afghanistan, where he bagged four wickets.

Now, speaking exclusively on OneCricket's Love of Cricket (LOC), former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has commented on Bumrah's effect in the World Cup alongside how he will fare against the Pakistan side.

Chopra remarked that whatever you're seeing right now from the pacer is his best version, considering he was brilliant on both slow and flat decks. Further, adding that he resembles Australian pacer Mitchell Starc, who is a different player in the World Cups.

Talking about the big Bumrah and Babar Azam face-off, Aakash backed the fast bowler to bag the World's number 1 ODI batter's wicket during the clash, along with getting their centurion opener Abdullah Shafique.

"The best of Bumrah, whatever you're seeing right now from him is the absolute best. It's not just about him; you see Mitchell Starc, he was decent when you saw him in the bilateral series, but he is a different beast in the World Cup. It is a similar story for Bumrah, whether he bowls on the slow pitch of Chennai or the flat deck of Delhi's Kotla, his quality is coming out really well. I think Bumrah will get Babar Azam out, he will get their opener Abdullah Shafique, too, because he is in that kind of form."

Whether what Chopra has said is accurate or not, we will get to know about when India faces Pakistan in the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, in front of a massive crowd.
