After India's T20 World Cup victory, Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Player of the Match for the final Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja announced their retirements. 

Honorable Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, expressed his gratitude to each of these legendary players on social media. On Monday, Virat Kohli thanked the Prime Minister for his kind wishes.

Virat Kohli thanked Narendra Modi for his congratulatory post on X, which celebrated Kohli's remarkable T20 career and Team India's T20 World Cup title win. Indian captain Rohit Sharma too thanked Prime Minister Modi for the wishes.

Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on X, praising Kohli's innings and stating that the next generation will benefit from Kohli's vast experience.

"Dear @narendramodi sir, thank you so much for your very kind words and your support and encouragement always. It has been a privilege to be a part of this team which has brought the cup home. We are deeply touched & overwhelmed with the happiness it has bought the entire nation," Virat Kohli wrote on X.

Virat Kohli won his first T20 World Cup title after India defeated South Africa in the finals by 7 runs. Kohli top-scored for India in the final after the team lost three quick wickets, earning him the Player of the Match award for his performance.

Prior to the T20 World Cup, there were rumors that Kohli wouldn't be picked for the tournament. However, Indian captain Rohit Sharma quickly dismissed those rumors.

 Although Kohli didn't perform at his best in the initial games, he rose to the occasion when it mattered most in the final and help India win the World Cup.
