Rohit Sharma is well-known for his humorous remarks, and he didn't disappoint during a felicitation ceremony at Maharashtra Vidhan Bhawan in Mumbai on Thursday. 

The Indian skipper, along with teammates Suryakumar Yadav, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and all-rounder Shivam Dube, was honored in the first such event organized for cricketers in the state legislature complex.

Addressing the assembly in Marathi, Rohit highlighted the collective effort behind India's victory against South Africa in the final in Barbados.

Rohit also recounted a pivotal moment in the match – a stunning catch by Suryakumar Yadav that dismissed David Miller and shifted the game in India's favor. Adding his signature humor, Rohit joked about Surya’s catch. 

"After Surya caught the ball, he told me that the ball got stuck in his hand. Otherwise, I would have stuck it into him," he quipped, causing the assembly to burst into laughter.
