Kolkata Knight Riders' star batter, Nitish Rana, discreetly handled his middle finger injury during the 63rd match of IPL 2024 against Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium on May 13th.

Rana initially sustained the injury during KKR's first match against SRH, leading to his sidelining for 10 subsequent matches. However, he made a resilient comeback during the match against Mumbai Indians, contributing a valuable 33 runs to his team's victory by 18 runs.

During a rain interruption that delayed the game, an intriguing moment unfolded during the pre-match interview. Commentator Harsha Bhogle inquired about Nitish Rana's finger, to which he humorously responded, refraining from displaying his middle finger on camera.

"Yeah, it's fine now, but I can't show it here on camera because it's the middle finger (chuckles). I'm happy to be back in the team after missing 10 matches. It was a challenging period for me, as I've never sat out for so many games in the IPL. I'm grateful to the KKR management for their faith in me and their belief that I can still make an impact in the game."

Despite Rana's absence, KKR have had a stellar season, becoming the first team to secure qualification in the tournament and currently leading the points table.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans may seek a win to keep their slim playoff hopes alive, knowing that a loss would eliminate them from contention.
