In a sensational outburst, former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh, father of legendary all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, has once again targetted MS Dhoni.

Known for his persistent criticism of the iconic captain, Yograj’s latest remarks have stirred a hornet’s nest.

Yograj Singh tore apart MS Dhoni in explosive rant

In a video that has gone viral, Yograj Singh emphatically rooted for India to clinch the T20 World Cup 2024, attributing the team's potential success to Dhoni's absence.

He didn’t pull any punches, claiming that Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) failure in the IPL 2024 was due to MS Dhoni's refusal to shake hands with Yuvraj.

"As an Indian, I want India to win. India should win the World Cup now that MS Dhoni is not there," Yograj stated. "The whole world is saying it. Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma are also saying it. CSK lost IPL 2024. Why did they lose? It's simple—whatever you sow, so shall you reap. Yuvraj Singh is the ICC Ambassador, hats off to him! And this jealous Dhoni, where is he? He didn't even shake hands with Yuvraj, and that is the reason why CSK failed this year," he declared.

Notably, this isn’t the first time Yograj has criticized Dhoni. He has previously accused Dhoni of intentionally underperforming in the World Cup 2019 semi-final vs New Zealand to prevent another captain from winning the World Cup for India.

According to him, Ravindra Jadeja was displaying great courage at one end, inching India closer to victory, but Dhoni did not play to his full potential. Had he played even 40 percent of his ability, India could have won the match in the 48th over.

Moreover, Yograj had also blamed Dhoni for Yuvraj Singh's early retirement, vowing never to forgive the former skipper.

With his barbed comments, Yograj Singh has once again ignited a firestorm, leaving cricket fans and pundits to dissect his contentious claims.
