India will be locking horns for 5 Tests with Pat Cummins' Australia in the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 starting November 22. Numerous concerns have been raised over the form of senior Indian players, with Kohli topping the list.

“I’m confident that Virat Kohli will score a lot of runs in Australia,” Sunil Gavaskar told Sports Tak. 

Kohli's Form Key To India's WTC Qualification

Speaking figuratively, the Indian right-hander has a brilliant record in Australia. In 11 years and 13 Test matches, Kohli has amassed 1352 runs, including six centuries and four half-centuries at an average of 54.08 and a high score of 169.

Hence, the upcoming challenge is crucial as India, after its whitewash against New Zealand, is in dire need of winning four out of five Test matches to qualify for the WTC Final. Virat's good form will hold the key to making amends and ensuring the qualifications of the Indian team without relying on other teams.
