As Virat Kohli turns 36, his recent lean run in Tests has become the talk of the town. India just wrapped up a tough home series against New Zealand, which saw Kohli struggling with the bat, and the visitors taking a clean 3-0 sweep.

Yuvraj Singh Rallies Behind Virat Kohli on His Birthday

Critics have had their say, but amidst all the noise, Kohli’s old buddy and fellow legend, Yuvraj Singh has stood up with words of support. On X, Yuvraj shared a heartfelt birthday message for Kohli, backing him to make a grand comeback in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) against Australia.

In his post, Yuvraj wrote, "Wishing you a very Happy Birthday #KingKohli! The greatest comebacks emerge from our setbacks, and the world eagerly looks forward to your solid comeback." Those words, sprinkled with fiery emojis, had the fans buzzing.

Yuvraj didn’t just leave it there – he put together a one-minute, 13-second video packed with clips of Kohli’s memorable knocks and match-winning moments. Toward the end, Virat Kohli himself shares a light-hearted jab, calling Yuvraj "the best swing in the game" while poking fun at his golf and basketball skills.

Virat Kohli’s Form In Recent Times Has Been A Cause Of Concern

Right now, Kohli’s stats in Tests this year aren’t exactly turning heads. No centuries, not even a fifty against Bangladesh. And against New Zealand, his top score was 70 in the Bengaluru Test, while the rest of the series was dotted with low scores, including single digits in the final Test at Wankhede.

The focus is on him, no doubt – especially with the high-stakes BGT just around the corner. But Yuvraj’s wish reminds us of the champion Kohli has always been.“You’ve done it in the past, and I’m sure you will do it yet again,”  Yuvraj said, echoing what every fan hopes.

When it comes to facing Australia, Kohli’s record speaks for itself. On Aussie soil, he’s racked up 1,352 runs in just 13 Tests, averaging over 54 with six centuries. Across all venues, he has eight Test tons against them. So, as the BGT opener at Perth Stadium looms on November 22, the stage is set for Kohli to let his bat do the talking again and make a staggering comeback.
