Ravichandran Ashwin often expresses his astute views over cricketing matters on his YouTube channel. In one of his recent videos, the star all-rounder recalled a conversation he had with batting legend Virat Kohli from around five or six years ago.

Ashwin revealed that Kohli rates Rohit Sharma even higher than former wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni when it comes to death-overs slogging. The ace spinner said:

“Virat Kohli and I had a discussion 5-6 years back when Rohit Sharma was batting. Virat asked me 'do you know who's a captain's nightmare at the end overs?'. I asked is it MSD? Virat was like 'no it's Rohit because you won't know where to bowl.”

Both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are currently in Sri Lanka for the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. While Kohli unleashed a scintillating ton against arch-rivals Pakistan, Sharma has registered three successive match-winning half-centuries to lead Team India into the finals.

The two batting legends also scaled major milestones for their respective careers. While Kohli completed 13,000 ODI runs and became the fastest in the world to do so, his skipper became the second fastest to reach 10,000 runs in the format through his rebellious 53 against Sri Lanka.
