In the meantime, Rohit Sharma is currently in Sri Lanka along with the rest of his Indian drawcards for the ongoing Asia Cup 2023.

The cricketer recently scored a match-winning 53 against tournament hosts, in an innings which also helped him scale a number of batting records.

Under Sharma, Team India will now face Bangladesh in their subsequent Super Four fixture on September 15, i.e., two full days prior to their appearance for the title clash at Colombo’s R. Premadasa Stadium.
