Virat Kohli and Kuldeep Yadav (Source: @mufaddal_vohra/X.com)
Kuldeep Yadav is the leading spinner for India in white-ball formats and has done well in last couple of ICC tournaments. He would be key for India in the upcoming Champions Trophy as well, and it would be interesting to see how he goes about his business in that tournament.
He would be playing in the ODI series before that tournament, and has now grabbed headlines with his cheeky comment on Royal Challengers Bengaluru. In a recent podcast, one comment by a user named RCB management popped up where he asked Kuldeep Yadav to come to RCB as they need a goalkeeper.
RCB's Trophy Drought Brings Nation Together
The reference was due to Kuldeep's liking for football, but the Indian spinner was at his brutal best and came up with a savage reply in Hindi - "Tumhe Goalkeeper ki nahi, Trophy ki jarurat hai bhai." It means that RCB need trophy and not a goalkeeper. It was a brutal way to troll a franchise that enjoys great fan-following, but is yet to win an IPL trophy.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru were led by Faf du Plessis in the last cycle, but the trophy eluded them and there is still mystery on who will captain them in IPL 2025. Virat Kohli is the face of the franchise and he could be back as a leader while Kuldeep Yadav plays for DC and would hope that he plays a big part in the franchise winning their first title.
