Mumbai Indians are all set to face Lucknow Super Giants in their second meeting of IPL 2025. This exciting match will happen at the famous Wankhede Stadium on April 27. Before the big clash, fans got a glimpse of a sweet senior-junior moment between Rohit Sharma and Abdul Samad.

Rohit Sharma Gives Abdul Samad Batting Tips Before MI vs LSG Clash

During the practice session, the young player from Jammu & Kashmir went up to Rohit to ask for some batting advice. Even though Rohit plays for the opposite team, he happily shared his experience and gave Samad some useful tips about adapting to different pitch conditions.

Rohit explained,

"Hit the ball either off this leg or that leg. Every pitch behaves differently every day. Today, it’s more humid, so there will be some moisture. If it’s less humid and windy, the pitch will be better for batting. But you’ll only understand it properly once the match starts."

He also gave some honest advice about playing styles, saying,

“Whatever ability you have, whatever talent, whatever technique, some things don’t work without technique, let’s accept that. Tu mere jaisa nahin khel sakta, mein tere jaisa nahin khel sakta (You can’t play like me, I can’t play like you)."

“Tera apna ek talent hai (You have your talent). If I go to copy you or you try to copy me, or if I go to copy his technique or his technique, life will pass by in that time. Most important is what is up here," he said.

Rohit's and Samad’s Recent Form

After a tough start to the season, Rohit seems to have found his rhythm with two strong innings of 76* and 70 in the past week. On the other hand, Abdul Samad has been making his presence felt for LSG. He played some crucial quick innings, including an unbeaten 30 off just 11 balls against Rajasthan Royals, which completely turned that match around.

Talking about the teams, Mumbai Indians have had a shaky start but made an amazing comeback by winning their last four matches in a row. They now stand at 5th place in the points table. LSG are just one spot below them, with five wins and four losses so far.
