As Mumbai Indians gear up for their high-stakes clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 27 at the Wankhede Stadium, a light-hearted moment from the nets has taken social media by storm. Rohit Sharma was caught on camera poking fun at LSG pacer Shardul Thakur for arriving late to training session.

In a video shared by Mumbai Indians on their official X (formerly Twitter) account, Rohit is seen seated next to LSG mentor Zaheer Khan during a pre-match practice session. As Shardul walked in, Rohit couldn’t resist a jibe.

"Kya re hero, abhi aa raha hai? Ghar ka team hai kya?" (Hey, hero, you're coming now? Is this your home team?). Rohit quipped, drawing laughs from those around. Watch the video here:

MI's Massive Turnaround In IPL 2025

Mumbai Indians have turned their season around dramatically. After losing four of their first five matches in IPL 2025, the five-time champions have bounced back with four consecutive wins. They now sit in fourth place on the points table with 10 points from nine matches and are eyeing a spot in the playoffs.

Rohit Sharma's Comeback In IPL 2025

One of the main reason behind MI’s resurgence has been Rohit Sharma’s return to form. The veteran opener had a quiet start to the season and have have struggled for runs. But finally Rohit made his comeback with back-to-back half-centuries.

He provided the solid starts that MI needed, anchoring the innings and setting the tone for the middle-order. His form could not have come at a better time, with the team now aiming to chase their record-extending sixth IPL title.

Mumbai Indians will face now face LSG, who defeated them earlier this season by 12 runs. However, with their confidence sky-high and home advantage in their favour, MI will look to settle the score and strengthen their playoff chance.
