Experienced Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy broke his silence on rumours claiming his potential exit from Sunrisers Hyderabad squad ahead of the IPL 2026. Reddy quashed the rumours, confirming his association with the Orange Army, of course, unless the franchise decides otherwise.

Nitish Reddy Denies Rumours Of Joining A New Team For IPL 2026

Promising Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been a vital cog in the Sunrisers' IPL setup. However, given he experienced a dip in his performance in the 2025 season, several media outlets circulated rumours of Reddy leaving the Hyderabad-based team before the 2026 edition.

However, the ace cricketer put all speculations to rest, issuing a clarification and confirming his future stint with the 2016 edition champions.

Taking to his official handle on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Reddy stated that the rumours prompted him to break his silence on the matter, assuring the SRH fans that he wouldn't leave the franchise anytime soon.

"I tend to stay away from the noise, but some things deserve clarity. My connection with SRH is built on trust, respect, and years of shared passion. I’ll always stand by this team," Nitish Reddy wrote on X

Nitish Reddy's IPL Stats For SRH

Nitish Reddy grabbed the limelight with a string of impactful performances for SRH in the 2024 season. He played a handy role in powering SRH to the tournament's final, amassing 303 runs at an average of 33.67 and a strike rate of 142.92.

However, he was nowhere close to his best in the IPL 2025, failing to bring his A-game following an injury setback. Overall, he managed 182 runs at a modest average of 22.75 and a strike rate of 118.95.

Therefore, although Reddy has denied the rumours of switching to a different IPL team, it won't be surprising if the SRH management trades or releases him before the next season.
