LSG's skipper and currently the vice-captain of India's Test team ahead of the England tour, Rishabh Pant shared a wholesome post for his teammate Nicholas Pooran who recently retired from International cricket.

Pooran aka Nicky P, the West Indian big-hitter recently announced his retirement at the age of 29 from International cricket and fans were left in shock for his sudden decision. Pant, who has been with Pooran from IPL this year added a heartfelt story on his official Instagram handle.

Pant's Heartfelt Message For Nicholas Pooran

Posting a picture of him and Pooran sitting together and conversing, Pant shared a short message on his Instagram story. 

"You've made your mark, bro - a true teammate, friend and an absolute powerhouse. Proud to have shared the field with you. Congrats on everything you have done for West Indies cricket. Wishing you nothing but success for the road ahead. Respect always."

While Rishabh Pant has only been part of the LSG family this year, his heartfelt message reveals the deep connection that the duo shares. Notably, Pooran will continue to play IPL since he retired only from international cricket.

Pooran's Stellar IPL Journey So Far

The West Indies wicketkeeper-batter Nicholas Pooran has played 90 matches in the IPL, representing three different teams. In 87 innings, he has scored 2,293 runs at an average of 34.22 and a blazing strike rate of 168.97. 

Nicholas Pooran’s highest score in the league is an unbeaten 87, and he has hit 14 fifties so far. Known for his aggressive batting, he has smashed 157 fours and 167 sixes in the tournament. In addition to his batting, he has taken 40 catches and effected 4 stumpings behind the wickets.
