Rohit Sharma Breaks Silence On His Parents Absence
"Usually they prefer watching matches from home because they get too nervous at stadiums. They don’t like leaving the house too much,” Rohit said in an interview with journalist Vimal Kumar.
However, Rohit added that he has instructed his parents that once the stand that is being named after him gets inaugurated, they would have to be present at the Wankhede Stadium.

MCA To Honour Rohit With A Stand After Him
The Mumbai Cricket Association decided to honour Rohit with a stand in his name at the Wankhede, renaming the Divecha Pavilion Level 3 stand.
"A stand being named after me at Wankhede—it was emotional. That ground is everything to me. I wasn’t even allowed inside it as a kid. 20+ years ago, we weren’t allowed to enter. And now, to have a stand in my name—that’s huge. Wankhede is where I’ve grown. I’ve practiced, I’ve struggled, I’ve been scolded there. It’s emotional," he added.
Rohit , who is celebrating his 38th birthday, will next be seen in action on Thursday, May 1, when Mumbai Indians will lock horns against Rajasthan Royals.
