On Wednesday, April 30, Chennai Super Kings locked horns against Punjab Kings at the Chepauk Stadium. In the do-or-die match, The visitors won the toss and asked MS Dhoni-led side to bat first.

Talking about the two teams, there are changes in their playing XI. For Punjab Kings, Glenn Maxwell misses out because of a fractured finger and is likely to miss most of IPL 2025. For CSK, they have named a same playing XI.

CSK vs PBKS: Captains' Thoughts

Shreyas Iyer (Punjab Kings Captain): "We are bowling first. Yeah, we have to win. But rather than focusing on it, we are going to trust and go ahead with the process. Unfortunately, due to bad weather, we couldn't get the required points from the last game. Very sad to miss out Glenn Maxwell, who has a fractured finger. We haven't decided on the replacement so far. Yeah, we are probably sticking to our last playing XI. Not sure what the changes are. But the majority of the players are there."

MS Dhoni (Chennai Super Kings Captain): "I don't know but I'm definitely coming for the next game (laughs). I think one of the thing is the flight factor. You want to defend your own fortress. Majority of your games, you play at home. Doing your best at home is important and we haven't been able to do that.
