In a humorous encounter, ex-CSK captain MS Dhoni interrupted Rachin Ravindra’s conversation with an anchor to remind the lady how CSK has a new captain now in Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Rachin Ravindra made his debut in IPL with CSK this year and was impressed massively with the bat in the previous fixture against the Gujarat Titans. 

However, the Kiwi stumbled in the field. He dropped an easy chance at extra cover that could have ended Sai Sudharsan’s stay at the crease.

Meanwhile, in a recent event, the host asked Rachin Ravindra to recall the exact moment when the catch slipped off his hands and also elaborated on whether he was worried about MS Dhoni’s wrath for the costly error.

MS Dhoni, sitting right adjacent to Ravindra, corrected the anchor, saying CSK has a new captain this year in Ruturaj Gaikwad. So Rachin Ravindra need not be scared of him or be answerable to him. 

Meanwhile, the crowd loved Dhoni’s humorous quip and erupted in a loud cheer.

Having said that, MS Dhoni added that he and Ruturaj Gaikwad share the same traits. Both of them do not tend to react aggressively when things go south. 

And Rachin Ravindra was experiencing the IPL madness for the first time in his life. Therefore, it wasn’t fair on him for the team to shift the blame.

However, MS Dhoni added that he had fun watching Rachin Ravindra move all around the field, and it almost felt like he was dancing and jumping from one field position to another.

Notably, the New Zealand all-round sensation redeemed himself with three catches in the same game and kind of compensated for the routine error.
