'South Africa's IPL' - Aiden Markram Reveals How SA20 Can Become Famous Like IPL

The second season of South Africa's flagship T20 League, the SA20 is set to get underway on 10th of January and it is expected to be another cracker of a season after a successful inaugural edition.

All the six teams in SA20 were bought by IPL franchises and thus the comparison between the two leagues has been going rounds since the first season. However, IPL is the biggest T20 league in the world and SA20 still has a long way to go before getting compared to IPL.

The same thing was retreated by South Africa's T20I and Sunrisers Eastern Cape skipper that IPL gets the much-deserved appreciation because of its success over a long period of time and he also emphasised how leagues play a big role in developing players all around the globe.

Markram added that if SA20 can grow each player like IPL, it can surely become South Africa's big brand like IPL.

"IPL gets huge appreciation because of how successful it has been for so many years. SA20 can grow each player like and become South Africa's IPL".

Under Aiden Markram, Sunrisers Eastern Cape won the inaugural edition and Markram would be hoping that can recreate the magic of last season.
