In the lead-up to the T20 series against Pakistan, New Zealand's explosive batter Devon Conway shared his excitement for the upcoming big challenge. The series will kick off the Kiwi's 2024 season, and ahead of the calendar year, Conway conveyed a beautiful message for the home fans.

While speaking to Black Caps, Conway said it's a great feeling to kick off the new year in front of home fans. The first T20 of the five-game series is scheduled for Friday at Eden Park, and Conway is excited to play the opening game at the venue as he feels the crowd turns up in good numbers to cheer for the home side.

Further shedding light on the Kiwi's preparations for the pivotal T20 series, Devon Conway added that New Zealand and Pakistan had played a lot of white-ball cricket against one another in the recent past. The batter explained how he considers the men in green a skillful side with top-quality pacers and top-order batters.

However, he is not intimidated by Pakistan at all. Instead, Conway plans on using the experience to topple the opposition with the right game plan and, of course, the home turn advantage would also come in handy.

Lastly, Devon Conway expressed how he is looking forward to the busy international schedule. He says as a player, squaring off with quality teams is always a good challenge, and he cannot wait to don the Black Cap for the upcoming few Test and T20 series.

Pakistan and New Zealand are scheduled to lock horns in a five-game T20 series starting on Jan 12. Moreover, the series holds the utmost significance for both sides, considering what's at stake. The T20 World Cup is around the corner, and almost every team is treating bilateral series as a mode of preparation for the big event.

Thus, Pakistan and New Zealand are expected to put their best foot forward this coming series to review where they stand just months ahead of the mega ICC event.
