Tim David and his power-hitting is renowned all over the world and if he gets going, there are very few who have the ability to stop him. He has scored runs in T20 leagues all over the globe but the league that first brought him into the limelight was Big Bash.
He is playing for Hobart Hurricanes in Big Bash League 2023-24 and has not been in his best form but time and again has shown glimpses of his power. In the 31st match of the season between Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes he failed again and scored 15 off 18 balls.
However, in his short stay at the crease, he blasted one huge six that brought back memories of his brutal hitting in past.
It was the 10th over of the Hobart Hurricanes and they were in all sorts of trouble with score reading 47-5. Henry Thornton bowled it touch short, on off and David saw it in his arc as he launched it way over deep mid-wicket for a huge sixer.
He departed soon after though and it was the knock of 95 by Ben McDermott that took Hurricanes to a respectable total of 165.
