Sanju Samson's Rajasthan Royals (RR) suffered their fourth consecutive loss, putting their hold on the top finish in danger. Despite an impressive start with 8 wins out of their first 9 games in this season, RR is now struggling.

Their final match against league leaders Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is crucial. However, even if they win vs KKR, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) could surpass RR and secure the second spot, given SRH's two remaining home games and strong Net Run Rate (NRR).

Following RR's disappointing performance against PBKS, Captain Sanju Samson has called for his team to demonstrate greater character.

"Somebody needs to step up, we have so many match-winners in the team. This is the time we need to show character. We need to score more runs. We thought 160-170 would have been a good score. We are not used to playing on such wickets this season where 200-plus totals are getting scored easily. We had to play smart cricket and build those partnerships today. Hopefully the result goes in our way."

Rajasthan Royals may have secured a playoff spot, but their recent form has sharply declined, marked by four consecutive defeats.

The team has lost momentum at a critical juncture, and entering the playoffs without it, especially in the absence of key players like Jos Buttler, poses a significant challenge for Sanju Samson and his team.
