'Should Be A Country-Wide Search, Call Best Detective' - Shan Masood On Warner's Stolen Baggy Green

Shan Masood came up with an interesting comment on David Warner's publicly announced plea for a lost Australian 'Baggy Green' Test cap to be returned if found by anyone ahead of the New Year's Test at SCG. The Pakistan captain called for a "country-wide search" into the matter by Cricket Australia (CA) and security officials.

Warner announced, on Tuesday, that he had lost his prized possession, which is considered the most special gear in an Australian Test cricketer's kit. The veteran opener made the news public and since then much has been spoken of in the matter by fans and prominent experts.

Even the top-order left-hander's Pakistani counterpart wasn't detached from the issue as Masood urged all authorities involved to ensure a wider search takes place in the case and backed it up with a sarcastic comment for detectives to be also roped in.

Masood's Interesting Take On Warner's Lost Cap

Warner's cap got lost in the build-up to the third and final Test of the series against Pakistan after his backpack containing the 'Baggy Green' initially went missing while he was travelling with the Australian squad from Melbourne to Sydney.

Upon reaching New South Wales, the southpaw realised what had happened and took the matter to the fans with a clip featuring a heartfelt request for anyone who finds the cap to return it to the cricketer.

Masood then came up with an amusing take on the matter during his interaction with the reporters at SCG on the Eve of the New Year's Test.

"There should be a country-wide search right now from the Australian Government for Warner's Baggy Green. We might need the best of detectives to get that back," he said on the eve of the New Year's Test at SCG.
