Ahead of his final Test, Australia opener David Warner has made a public plea on social media about his stolen backpack, which contained his all-important 'Baggy Green'.

The upcoming Sydney Test, which will be Warner's final appearance in whites, has started on a sour note as the opener urged the public to return his stolen Australian cap, which went missing in transit between Melbourne and Sydney.

Taking to 'Instagram', Warner stated that this is the last resort and maintained that he is willing to give a new backpack to the person who returns his Baggy Green and will also not take any action against the individual.

Here's what Warner said

"Hi all, this is my last resort. But my backpack, which contained my Baggy Green, has been taken from my luggage, which was transported to Melbourne airport and flown on @qantas to Sydney a few days ago. Qantas have said they checked their cameras and have not seen anyone open our bags and take the backpack, however they do have blind spots. If you are the person, who was either working for the company driving it to and from the airport or working for Qantas and have, by chance, just wanted the backpack, I have one for. I would be grateful if this were returned asap. Thanks."

"Please reach out to Cricket Australia or myself via my social media and I'm happy to give this (his Australian bagpack) to you if you return my baggy greens."

In 111 Tests, the 37-year-old has slammed 8,695 runs, with 26 centuries and 36 fifties to become one of the best modern-era openers, having shifted from T20 to Test cricket.
