Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) is worsening for Hardik Pandya at a personal level and for Mumbai Indians as a franchise. The team has faced their third consecutive defeat under Hardik's leadership against Rajasthan Royals. However, Rohit Sharma - as batter - has shown some form for the five-time champions.

Mumbai have faced three consecutive losses that have increased criticism on social media as well as on the ground for Hardik Pandya. Meanwhile, the MI fans are demanding re-appointment of Rohit Sharma as the skipper of the franchise.

Sreesanth supports Rohit Sharma for Orange Cap

Former Indian fast bowler S Sreesanth supported Rohit Sharma and believes that he can be re-appointed as the captain of MI. He also added, that the Indian captain may look to win the Orange Cap this season and will play well in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.

"As far as I know Rohit, he would look to bat freely, without any captaincy burden, and may take the Orange Cap too. He is going to have a great season," Sreesanth told The Times of India.

The former Indian seamer believes that Rohit Sharma is one of the top contenders for the coveted Orange Cup in the cash-rich league, as he does not have any captaincy burden and can play his game freely even under the leadership of Hardik Pandya.

He also wants Rohit Sharma to perform well score runs and enter the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in full form.

Mumbai Indians will play the next match against Delhi Capitals under the leadership of Hardik Pandya at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The franchise has faced a massive defeat against Rajasthan Royals and will look to bounce back to secure their first win in the season.
