[Watch] Rachin Ravindra Lets MSD & CSK Down As He Gets Out To A 'Nothing' Delivery

Promising New Zealand batter Rachin Ravindra sustained his underwhelming IPL 2024 run, being dismissed cheaply off an ordinary delivery in Chennai Super Kings' ongoing group-stage clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The incident occurred in the fourth over of CSK's innings when SRH skipper Pat Cummins brought Bhuvneshwar Kumar for his second over in pursuit of a breakthrough.

The move worked wonders for the home team, with Bhuvneshwar getting rid of Ravindra on his very first delivery.

It was a back of the length delivery from Bhuvneshwar, as Ravindra went for a rash lofted shot over the on-side.

However, while doing so, he top-edged it, with the ball gobbling up in the air for a long time. Aiden Markram, who is known as one of the safest fielders, did no mistake, holding on to a simple catch inside the 30-yard-circle.

Thus, Ravindra, hailed for his consistency across formats, registered his second consecutive failure with the bat in the tournament.

After the Kiwi batter departed, stylish right-hander Ajinkya Rahane joined skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad in the middle.

The duo has ensured a solid start for the defending champions with their scintillating stroke play in the powerplay. As of writing, CSK were 49 for one in 6.1 overs, with Rahane and Gaikwad batting on 13* and 23*, respectively.
