The ongoing Border-Gavaskar trophy is making the fans excited with its classic thrills. As both teams are moving toward the third Test match of the series, the verbal spat between David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne ignites fans. After Warner’s bold claim on his dismissal, the Aussie batter comes up with a bold reply.

The ongoing Test series between Australia and India are standing on a stage of 1-1. Before heading into the third Test match, Warner and Labuschagne's verbal war grabbed attention. A few days back, Warner commented on Labuschagne's dismissal in the gully in the second Test. Before heading to the third Test, the Australian batter delivered a sharp reply.

What Was Warner’s Claim On Labuschagne?

After a crushing defeat in the Perth, Australia bounced back in the Adelaide Test. In that match, the Australian batters dazzled with the willow. In the first innings, Marnus dazzled with a knock of 64 runs. The ace Australian batter was dismissed on a delivery by Nitish Kumar Reddy and gave his easy catch to Yashasvi Jaiswal in the gully. After that, Labuschagne’s former teammate David Warner commented on his dismissal.

“I’m still not convinced with Marnus. I don’t think that was anywhere near what we know he’s capable of. He might have got a couple out of the middle, got a couple of freebies, batted well that night to get through but they bowled poorly.” Warner said

“So from that perspective, he had the best conditions to come out and bat in. But he got out the same way he always does get out when he gets over 50, hits it straight to gully.” Warner added.

Labuschagne Fires Back At Warner

After that sharp comment, Marnus Labuschagne didn’t hold back and gave abold reply. While taking a sly dig at the Aussie legend, Labuschagne dared him to check his ratio of dismissal in the mentioned position. His bold remarks added more fuel to this saga.

“I'd like to see him check how many times I’ve been caught at gully, because apparently I get out there every week. I’ve looked back and I think I can only remember getting caught at gully twice. So I might have to have a look at Bull’s (Warner’s) comment there. But like I said, everyone’s here to write newspapers, write articles.” Labuschagne said.

The third Test match of the ongoing series is all set to unfold in Brisbane on December 14. After 2021, both rivals will lock horns at this iconic venue. After a 10-wicket win in the last Test, the home side is high on confidence. On the flip side, Team India is aiming to bounce back with an impressive victory.
