Pakistan- (Source:@FaridKhan/X.com)
On Friday, December 13, the PCB took to Twitter to announce Pakistan's playing XI for the 2nd T20I against South Africa hours before the toss. Usually, a team prefer to disclose the playing XI after the toss, but Pakistan have made it public around four hours prior to the toss.
The Mohammad Rizwan-led side have made one change to the team that featured in the first T20I. Pakistan have dropped Sufiyan Muqeem and he has been replaced by Jahandad Khan.
It is worth noting that Muqeem, who was the star with the ball in the Zimbabwe series, had a poor start to the South Africa tour as he conceded 53 runs in his spell of four overs and picked up a solitary wicket.
Here is Pakistan's Playing XI For 2nd T20I vs South Africa
Muqeem Shines Against Zimbabwe
It is worth noting that Muqeem hogged the internet in the 2nd T20I against Zimbabwe when he registered the best spell by a Pakistani bowler in T20I history. He picked up a five-wicket haul and gave just 3 runs in his spell. Overall, he took nine wickets in the three matches and was Pakistan's best bowler against Zimbabwe.
Meanwhile, Jahandad also featured in the Zimbabwe tour and took three wickets in that series. Talking about the first T20I between Pakistan and South Africa, it was nail-biting thriller as the Proteas won by 11 runs.
South Africa, batting first, put 183 runs on the board, while Pakistan, in reply, could only manage to post just 172 runs on the board. It is a do-or-die game for the Men in Green as another defeat would result in a series defeat for Pakistan.
